Maryland’s own Clutch brought their Earth Rocker World Tour through North Eastern Pennsylvania playing The Sherman Theater this past Saturday 12/28/13
If The Sherman was not sold out it had to be close to it. The place was packed from the stage to the door. Support came from Into Another and The Mike Miller Band. Both acts were received well but The Sherman Theater erupted when the lights went out before Clutch came on.
The band (Neil Fallon-Vocals/Guitar, Jean-Paul Gaster-Drums, Dan Maines-Bass, Tim Sult-Guitar) opened with the title track of their latest release Earth Rocker and went into Unto The Breach followed by Texan Book If The Dead. Fans didn’t seem to mind that the half of the set consisted of 8 new songs. Most bands can not get away with this. Most of the time fans want to hear older songs and buy beer during the new. But that was not the case here at all. At times you could not hear the band because the crowd was singing over top of them.
The band went on to play 15 songs followed up by encore songs Electric Worry and One Eye Dollar This was a great way to top off the last weekend of 2013.
The set list was as follows:
Unto The Breach
Texan Book If The Dead
Profits Of Doom
The Elephant Riders
Sea Of Destruction
The Mob Goes Wild
The Wolf Man Kindly Requests
One Eye Dollar
