Twisted Sister – Saturday June 13th Starland Ballroom Sayreville, NJ Show Review

Twisted Sister put on a killer show Saturday June 13th @ Starland Ballroom Sayreville, NJ

A Concert To Honer A.J. Pero

As always before the band takes the stage AC/DC’s “Long Way To The Top” rings out through the PA. This never fails. The song always seems to set the tone for whats about to happen. And then the moment arrived, the opening notes to “ What You Don’t Know Sure Can Hurt You” The best intro to any live set ever in my opinion.

Next up was “ The Kids Are Back” followed by “Stay Hungry”. This was a sixteen song set full of staple songs with a drum solo performed by A.J. Pero captured on film August of 2014. During the song “Burn In Hell” a screen came down with A.J.’s solo blended flawlessly into the song. This was very touching and it fit perfectly.

The band hit the stage like a ball of fire and did not let up on the energy until the show was over. The band was tight, loud and seemed like they were out for blood. Their fans truly love them. Twisted Sister brings old school and new school rock/metal fans together transcending generations. It’s hard to believe they are going to hang it up next year.
