SoCal hard-rockers P.O.D. will celebrate the August 21 release of their ninth studio album, The Awakening (T-Boy/UMe), with three special Southern California concerts, on sale this week!  The multi-platinum, GRAMMY®-nominated rock act will take a break from their national tour to play the intimate album release week shows at the Mayan in Los Angeles on Thursday, August 20; House of Blues – Anaheim on Friday, August 21 (release day); and House of Blues – San Diego on Saturday, August 22.  Fans can visit P.O.D.’s site for more information about The Awakening and their tour: payableondeath.com

Produced by the band’s longtime collaborator and friend, Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Kelly Clarkson), The Awakening features 10 tracks and special guest appearances by Maria Brink from In This Moment and Lou Koller from Sick of it All.  The album is available worldwide on August 21 in digital, CD and vinyl formats – preorders for the digital album on iTunes unlock the first single, “This Goes Out To You,” for immediate download.

P.O.D.
