Lita Ford is currently on tour and will be preforming at the inaugural Food Truck and Rock Carnival that takes place at Oak Ridge Park in Clark NJ Sept 18th through Sept 20th Lita Ford hits the stage on Sunday Sept 20th
I had a chance to speak with Lita Ford Check out what she had to say below
Dante: Is there any new music in the works?
Lita Ford: Yes there is new music in the works. We are writing at the moment.
Dante: How far along are you in putting together a full album?
Lita Ford: Got about half the record demoed. So we still have a long way to go. But its exciting. Sorry I can’t give away too much.
Dante: Any idea of when it might be released?
Lita Ford: We are hoping for a 2016 spring release. Fingers crossed.
Dante: When your book Living Like A Runaway is released in February of next year what can fans expect to read?
Lita Ford: Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll. With a twist of humor. It’s a cool book about being a chick in a rock band. Not sure about February, but I think its safe to say the Spring.
Dante: How far back does it start and where does it leave off?
Lita Ford: Harper Collins wanted the rock n roll parts and were not interested in the husband and wife parts. So we begin the book during a rocking party I had one night , and it’s end’s during the present.
Dante: This current tour looks like it’s a mix of festivals and theaters. Which do you prefer?
Lita Ford: We have played all kinds of venues. So long as the fans are having fun and are comfortable it really doesn’t matter to me.
Dante: On September 20th you will be preforming at the first Food Truck & Rock Carnival in Clark NJ. This event looks like its geared toward families who like to rock out and have a good time. It looks like a festival that offers everything. What are your thoughts?
Lita Ford: My fan base stems from moms and dads to their kids loving living like a runaway. So these gigs cover my entire fan base. I can’t wait for this show. But moms and Dads need to keep their children away from the P.A. column . if this place has one. Some times it can make a child sick. I’ve seen this at various shows when a child is too close to the speakers. But I always point out the kids and give them a gift . Throw a T shirt in the audience or a hat. Some thing , our Bassist Marty O Brien is always throwing picks. It’s a good show for the whole family.
Dante: What is next for you after this tour?
Lita Ford: Well I don’t think the tour slows down until November, then it will be time for Christmas. We will take a small break and I will get ready for the book , digging through pictures for the book. And recording the album.
Dante: Would you like to say anything to your fans?
Lita Ford: OH Hell yes ! Hey you guys n gals. I can’t wait to see you and get your booties down to the Food Truck & Rock Carnival. I’ll see you soon, can’t wait to rock your socks off. Along w Marty OBrien on bass and Bobby Rock on drums. Patrick Kennison on guitar and vocals, we will crush and destroy…….
