Rolling through New Hope Pennsylvania this past Saturday night, The Jelly Jam made Havana their first stop on the tour and after four albums their first ever. Yes, The Jelly Jam‘s very first show was at Havana in New Hope Pennsylvania. Pretty cool piece of music history to witness if you were there.
The Jelly Jam featuring Ty Tabor of King’s X on guitar and vocals, Rod Morgenstein of Winger & Dixie Dregs on drums and John Myung of Dream Theater on bass are touring in support of their latest album Profit released on May 27th through Music Theories Recordings / Mascot Label Group.
The show was an “evening with” so no opener. The band sounded absolutely amazing and not to mention, I have never walked into a room that sounded as crystal clear as Havana. The Jelly Jam performed (and or worked in) songs from all four of their albums.
After a few songs Ty Tabor spoke to the crowd and seemed genuinely humbled by the amount of people who came out and the overwhelming response that was received. You could feel the love and respect was mutual between the fans and the band.
I can not pick any one stand out moment because the show was one of those standout shows that for me will be remembered as a whole. The overall show experience was great. If you are a fan of The Jelly Jam you should try to make it out to one of the remaining shows. If you have not heard The jelly Jam’s music yet I strongly suggest that you do so.
