STEVE WHITEMAN (of KIX) “YOU’RE WELCOME” CD REVIEW

KIX Headlined the first night of The M3 Rock Festival July 2 2021. On the same day their lead singer/frontman Steve Whiteman released his debut solo album titled “You’re Welcome”. The album is great. Twelve hard rock songs that are all worthy of any rock fans playlist. There is absolutely no filler on this record.

I don’t think the sound or style of music on this album was pre-planned. I think this is who Steve is when it comes to his craft. He is a Rock N Roll guy and that is what he gave us with “You’re Welcome”. The first track on the disc is called “Easy”. From the gate, the record just screams let’s party.

Lyrically there is not much to think about here. The songs are pretty much straight forward. The titles of the songs say it all like “Get The Wild Out”, Tug Of Luv”, “Prick Teaser” and “Strip”. The Song “Kid Dynamite” is a nod to KIX guitarist Ronnie “10/10” Younkins. And “Shook Me In My Shoes” is a great album closer that leaves you wanting more songs.

Ultimately “You’re Welcome” is a must have for KIX fans with that being said, if you never heard KIX check them out and check out some songs from this album as well then buy it.
