Defiant released their re-imagined version of The Adict’s song “Viva La Revolution” to all major platforms via Curtain Call Records. The song was recorded at Full Tilt Studios, mixed and mastered by Patrick James Music Productions. The song was originally written by The Adicts.
“We went all out for this single. We wanted to take a classic punk song and give it a Defiant twist to make an angsty anthem for the post-lockdown era. We enlisted Ace Von Johnson from L A Guns to handle lead guitar duties and Richard Reilly from legendary NYC punk band The Victims to add vocals. For the music video we wanted to pay homage to a classic cult movie and give the audience something they might not expect from us. The result is something we are truly proud to release to the world,” says the band.
The music video was produced by Kayla Casey and directed by Dan Silver with Kevin Johnson as Director of Photography.
Boldly resisting authority…like the definition of its name, Curtain Call Records recording artist Defiant has set out to ignore any rules or standards in hard rock music. The 4-piece band from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania infuses elements of punk, alternative, classic rock and heavy metal to form its own unique brand of music.
Formed in 2018, Defiant has built a reputation with their high octane live shows playing on bills throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and West Virginia with the likes of From Ashes to New, The Texas Hippie Coalition, Kix, L.A. Guns, Buckcherry, Puddle of Mudd, Tantric and Otep among others.
The band is comprised of Albert Halterman (vocals and guitar), Joe Defiant (guitar) Paul Barlowski (bass) and Paul Cochran (drums).
